Here are some of the questions most asked of us about how things work at Superior Pilates and, I hope, short, clear answers. If you have other questions you feel belong on this list, please let one of us know. I hope this will help make things even more enjoyable for everyone at Superior Pilates!

What if I need to cancel?

If you must cancel an appointment, please do so with 24-hours notice to avoid paying for the full session. Please leave a voicemail or you can contact us via email at superiorpilatesns@gmail.com. This way the exact time of your call will be recorded so that late cancellation can be avoided. This is the only way to cancel and avoid being charged.

What if I need to use my cell phone?

Unless it’s an emergency, we ask that you please turn your cell phone off. If you need to take a call, please go to the reception area or step outside so your call won’t disturb others. Thanks!

What if I’m going on an extended trip?

We can only hold your standing appointments for a short time. You may hold a standing appointment time by paying for the lessons.

Where do I put my belongings?

Please remove your shoes at the door and place personal items in the cubbies in the waiting area. Valuables may be locked in our back room. Please help us keep the clean feel of the studio. Note: Superior Pilates isn’t responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

What if I am running late?

Please call the studio so that we can notify the instructor.

How long is a session?

Joseph Pilates said “Pilates and a shower in an hour.” Sessions are meant to be 50 minutes. This also gives instructors time to schedule appointments, get payment and use the restroom!

How does payment for group classes work?

Group classes are created starting with 3 students and a maximum of 7. Once a group class starts it will stay a group class until the students decide the contrary. If your package is up and your group doesn’t want to continue, please let the instructor know so that you will not be kept on the schedule.

What about drop-ins to scheduled classes?

Drop-ins are permitted for some scheduled classes, provided space is available.

How do I sign up for group classes?

There is a minimum of 5 private classes required for first-time Superior Pilates students before you can take group classes. This is for safety reasons – so you’ll know the equipment and feel comfortable with lighter supervision. After that, group classes may be joined whenever you wish, based upon on your level (beginner, intermediate or advanced.)

How do I get a duet partner?

If you are interested in doing a duet, please notify your instructor and the receptionist. We will work on matching you up with someone at the same level.

Have a problem or an issue?

Please make any suggestions to Kristen Wolf and she will do her best to remedy a situation or problem.

One last thing: Please be considerate of other clients in the room while training by keeping your voice at a talking level. Thanks!
